Bush in our backyard is in bloom, it's totally confused with the warm weather, it decided that today is April, not the second half of December.
We have snow goose visiting us again. Probably it migrated from Canada with a flock of Canadian geese.
And heron is always here.

Last week geese migrated to the South over our area, taking rest on the river and in the ponds. There were huge flocks of Canada geese, but we also observed 4 rare species. I saw 2 of them before, partial albino and snow goose, they show up once in a while. Other 2, white fronted goose and barnacle goose, I never saw before. People were driving ( Read more... )

I rarely see this woodpecker, even less often I was able to make a picture of it. If ever. Also, as always, some other pictures.
